April 7, 2021 closed the First International Industrial Trade Fair "Innoprom. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan", hosted by NEC "Uzexpocenter" in Tashkent. As part of the Exhibition the organizers of interplastica presented a new project titled «Interplastica Meeting Point Tashkent»!
Statistics of «Innoprom» Tashkent:
- In the course of 3 days the Exhibition was visited by more than 10 000 people from all countries of Central Asia.
- More than 1 000 Uzbek companies and more than 300 companies from Russia took part in the Exhibition and the events of the business agenda.
- The Russian-Uzbek Transregional Forum became a new and a very effective format for Innoprom: the Exhibition hosted 13 regions of Russia and 14 regions of Uzbekistan.
- Russian and Uzbek partners have signed 21 agreements worth $128 mln.
- Parties signed contracts for execution of 33 projects, raising $2,2 bn of Russian investments.
- More than 50 Russian exhibitors are looking forward to participating in this event next year.
The Big Industrial Week was opened by Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
"Uzbekistan is not just an important trade and economic partner of our country. This is a strategic partner, with which Russian companies are designing and will be jointly executing large cooperation projects in various sectors of the economy", – Denis Manturov said. "The agreements signed at Innoprom with Uzbek partners is an evidence of dynamically evolving trade and economic relations with Uzbekistan. I’m convinced, that by the time the next Exhibition starts, new ambitious projects will definitely emerge".
The opening ceremony of Innoprom and the plenary session was also attended by Sardor Umurzakov, Head of the Ministry for Investments and External Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Roman Sklyar, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Petr Parkhomchik, Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus; Vagan Kerobyan, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia; Kubanychbek Turdubaev, Minister of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic; Artak Kamalyan, Member of the Panel (Minister) for Industry and Agriculture of EEC; Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
"Today the most relevant agenda for our countries is digitalization of the economy, accelerated implementation of high-tech and innovations, strengthening and building-up industrial ties, and development of international cooperation with active involvement of private businesses into these processes", – Sardor Umurzakov said in his opening speech at the plenary session.
Denis Manturov emphasised, that international cooperation facilitates prosperity and economic growth of the countries, both in the EEU perimeter, and across the global trade system. Russia is consistently advocating wider industrial cooperation and lifting excessive barriers. Free movement of goods, large infrastructure and sectoral projects, "green energy", and lowering the carbon footprint, digitalization of industry were proposed by the Minister as the main drivers of the economic growth; creation of a new image of industry was set as the main task.
The Russian-Uzbek Transregional Forum became a new and a very effective format for Innoprom.
The business programme hosted more than 15 specialized sessions on international cooperation, exporting, investments and development of advanced manufacturing. These sessions were attended by heads of executive agencies, largest international companies and associations, the agenda also offered relevant discussions on key subjects of industrial development and cooperation, and presentations of investment projects and opportunities from industrial zones; heads of international delegations made tours of the Exhibition.
The Strategic Session, opening the Exhibition, titled "The global industrial production in search for growth drivers" identified the key vectors for the business events. Among the subjects discussed were: enhancing Russian-Uzbek collaboration and cooperation with other countries, defining new areas for industrial development, making and strengthening business contacts, creating joint manufacturing capacities; other topics for discussion were innovations in energy, effective technologies in digital production, machine building, digital marking, and many more.
As part of the Exhibition a new project titled "Interplastica Meeting Point Tashkent" was presented, which successfully started a round of new regional events arranged by the organizers of the interplastica Exhibition!
The joint booth presented such producers of materials, goods, and equipment as Gamma-Plast, Falcon, Tricaplast, as well as Chinese manufacturers — Jiangsu XINDA Science & Technology Co., Ltd, Qingdao Powertech Machinery Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Simcheng Plastics Machinery Co., Ltd.
Judging by feedback from the organizers, participants, and visitors, "Interplastica Meeting Point Tashkent" joint booth was very active during the whole course of the event!

The next exhibition project from the organizers of interplastica and upakovka Exhibitions – "interplastica & upakovka MEETING POINT YEKATERINBURG" – will take place in Yekaterinburg, July 6-9, 2021. The project is arranged as part of International Industrial Exhibition "Innoprom", and will become an additional platform for searching for new suppliers and target clients in the Urals region.
